Cells as the Structural unit of all living organisms:
The Components of the Cell Theory:
Cell Theory
- All living things are made of cells
- Cells are the smallest working units of all living things
- They are the structural and functional unit of life
- All cells come from pre-existing cells through cell division
- All living things are composed of at least one (unicellular) or more (multicellular) cells
- Viruses are NOT living therefore they do not classify as cells
- Fungus, Plants, Animals, and Bacteria are all LIVING
The cell is the most BASIC unit of life, meaning it is the smallest, microscopic structural unit capable of using energy to sustain itself in a highly organised fashion. The cell is alive, however it’s organelles are not. (REFER MRS GREN)
